I have loved horses since I was a child. In my teens, my parents also became horse lovers and surprised me with riding lessons. I eventually showed Tennessee Walking Horses, American Saddlebreds, and Quarter Horses. Over the years, a dash of eventing, hunters, and dressage kept me too busy to practice my other hobbies, which are golf and boating. My husband keeps hoping the golf interest will return, but that’s a slim to no chance.  

In my quest for a dressage stable, I discovered Second Nature Farm located near Oxford, Pennsylvania, and owned by Anecia Deiduco. My first lesson was on October 13, 2020, and one of my mounts was Aragon, an amazing 17-hand Percheron cross. Aragon is a special horse with a long resume that includes helping his owner earn her USDF bronze medal and a stand in mount for countless Pony Clubbers earning their ratings. Lunging was his specialty.  

Many thanks to Second Nature Farm for their wonderful riding program and for introducing me to Aragon. Aragon and I competed in many events and most recently completed our Century Club-Blue Ribbon ride on April 19th, 2024.
