Adult Amateurs

Overview

Grants for Adult Amateurs

  • The goal of the Evie Tumlin Memorial Fund is to provide financial assistance to Adult Amateur riders who currently reside in USDF Region 9, to aid in their development in dressage.

  • This Fund was seeded with donations received in special remembrance of Carol Lavell’s great dressage horse, Gifted. Its purpose is to “give permission” to adult amateur riders to set aside quality time, in concentrated training, away from the daily pressures of job and family. The recipients will be able to spend time bonding with their horses; grooming them, giving them a spa bath, grazing them, as well as receiving lessons that they normally wouldn’t be able to have.

  • The Jane Savoie Adult Amateur Fund provides annual grants to adult amateur riders of any age who are riding and training any breed of horse at Fourth Level or Prix St. Georges or Para Dressage FEI Intermediate A and B or above.

  • The Lloyd Landkamer Show Management Development Fund provides financial assistance to show management (to include managers and/or secretaries) to aid in their development and to help them move up the levels of management.

  • The purpose of the Lynn Palm Western Dressage Fund for Individuals is to support Western Dressage riders to receive additional training, outside of the horse and rider’s typical training plan (clinics, camps, additional lessons) in Western Dressage.

  • TDF’s Military Fund provides financial support for dressage-related education to riders who have served, or are currently serving, in the United States military and their dependents. The Fund is open to all branches of the military including active duty, reserves, and veterans. To apply, applicants must be an Amateur or youth rider and/or Amateur or youth para-dressage rider.

  • The Para Dressage Fund provides financial support for Para Dressage riders, riders with disabilities, and Visually Impaired riders. The purpose of this support is for riders to attend educational events such as clinics/seminars at the USEF Para-Equestrian Dressage Centers of Excellence, lessons with a trainer of choice, or other educational opportunities that will enable the riders to improve and reach their goals.

  • The purpose of this Fund is to provide financial support to obtain further dressage training for riders who train and compete a Pure Spanish Horse/P.R.E. in the sport of dressage.

  • The Trip Harting Fund provides an annual grant to a current or graduate dressage rider with U.S. Pony Club experience to attend an educational event.

  • The U.S. Breeder Excellence Fund provides financial assistance to breeders to pursue educational opportunities related to breeding that will advance their careers, promote sound breeding practices, and further enhance the quality of U.S.-bred dressage horses.

  • The Veronica Holt Dressage Technical Delegate Fund provides funding to help recipients with the cost associated with becoming a licensed Technical Delegate.
