TDF Awards Carolyn Van Cise Fund Grant to Michigan Young Rider

The Dressage Foundation (TDF) is pleased to announce that the 2025 Carolyn Van Cise Fund for Michigan Youth and Young Adults grant has been awarded to Kadence Jennett (MI). Kadence was selected as the $1,000 grant recipient as she exemplifies the qualities that were important to Carolyn Van Cise, such as sportsmanship, academic achievement, and horsemanship.

Kadence is a member of GLASS-ED dressage club and is a student at Michigan State University, where she is a member of the National Collegiate Honor Society. She is currently training with Andrea Landis and riding at Training Level. She plans on using her grant funding for several clinics with Kimberly Dunlap, Brittany Hunter, and Suzanne Galdun, as well as intensive training with Andrea.

Kadence said, “This grant means the world to me as I would have never been able to afford my training without it. I hope with this training I can become a better rider for my horse and move up to the next level.”

The Carolyn Van Cise Fund was established in 2014 in memory of Carolyn, who was active in Michigan's dressage community for many years as a trainer, instructor, judge, and mentor.
